Connecticut, especially the New Haven area, is home to various biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies surrounding Yale University. Due to the complexity and increasing cost of drug-discovery research, outsourcing a part of research is becoming a normal trend in today's rapidly changing pharmaceutical environment. Therefore, there is a need for a world-class research support company in the region. Cheminpharma intends to fill this gap. Cheminpharma is a drug discovery services company formed by two former Bayer scientists. The founders have twenty-eight years of combined experience in drug discovery research in various therapeutic areas including cancer, diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, and inflammation. Cheminpharma provides various chemistry based services for preclinical drug discovery to both biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies using their state-of-the art facility. The services include medicinal chemistry services such as hit to lead generation, analog design, lead optimization, building SAR, and structure-based drug design. In addition to medicinal chemistry services, Cheminpharma provides synthesis of intermediates, reference compounds, process impurities etc.
