General Information
Affomix has proprietary technology for rapid, automated, high-throughput selection of human monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). Our mission is to commercialize proprietary mAbs, mAb microarrays and mAb libraries for research, drug discovery, diagnostic and therapeutic applications, with a particular focus on the use of our mAbs for sensitive and accurate measurement of very large numbers of proteins in biological samples.

Affomix technology is designed to select mAbs that possess high levels of affinity and specificity toward their antigens. Because of its high-throughput capabilities, Affomix is able to provide customers with sets of mAbs at unrivalled speeds and prices.

Affomix has the ultimate objective of mining its extensive human mAb libraries to generate the human AffomeTM, a comprehensive library of mAbs that can be used to detect and quantify all proteins in the human proteome. Affomix is perfecting a proprietary protein quantitation technology to enable the development of highly multiplexed proteome arrays.

Research Activities
Y2HEXPRESS (TM)

Yeast two hybrid (Y2H) is a process for selecting mAbs against non-modified proteins. Standard Y2H methodology is well established and carries the advantages of selection without the need for production of antigen as well as specific epitope targeting. However, the process has been limited by throughput and specificity issues.

Affomix has developed Y2HEXPRESS (TM), a proprietary automated approach that dramatically increases the speed and specificity at which mAb selection and production can be carried out.

The Y2HEXPRESS (TM) breakthrough advantages:
· Greater than 50X increase in throughput over standard Y2H · Greater than 5X increase in selection specificity · mAb selection complete in 6-8 weeks · In-house services with the ability to process 150 targets per week and scalable

Y2HEXPRESS (TM) is provided as a service, whereby all our clients have to do is identify the target proteins. Affomix will do everything else – from picking the epitopes (using a proprietary algorithm) to bait construction and mAb selection – all within 6-8 weeks.
