General Information
Saint Joseph College, founded in 1932 by the Sisters of Mercy, provides a value-centered liberal arts education combined with professional training. Today, the College serves the needs of a diverse student body through three academic divisions: The Women’s College and the coeducational Prime Time degree completion program and Graduate School. With more than 30 academic majors, Saint Joseph College offers vast opportunity in the sciences. Bachelor of Science degrees are available in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Natural Science and Pre-Med; Master of Science degrees are available in Biology, Chemistry and online Biology. Several accelerated programs, like the bachelor’s-to-master’s degrees in Chemistry or Biology allow students to earn both degrees in five years. Students work closely with faculty members, most of whom hold doctoral degrees and are practicing scientists.
